d) Accommodation

The University of Virginia has arranged for delegates to stay at the Omni Charlottsville Hotel. A special U21 rate has been arranged and a single / double 'Deluxe' room will be charged at US $139 per night (room only). A continental breakfast will be available for delegates (17-19 September) at the University of Virginia's Jordan Hall Conference Centre.

'Deluxe' Rooms at the Omni are very well appointed, offering a choice of one king bed, two double beds or one double bed. Features include individual climate control, a work desk, complimentary newspaper, ironing facilities, coffee maker, mini-bar, hair dryer, high-speed wireless internet access, data ports and modem access, voice mail, and cable television. Check-in time is 3pm and check-out is at 12 noon.

Hotel features include a variety of dining options, bar, heated indoor pool and an outdoor pool, complimentary fitness centre, business centre, ATM, and a dry-cleaning service. Tennis courts and golf courses are nearby.

The hotel is located approximately 15 miles from Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport at 235 West Main Street in the historical downtown area of Charlottesville. A taxi to the hotel from Charlottesville Airport will cost between US $25 - $35. A shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately US $19 each way.

e) Useful information

Getting to Charlottesville

Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport is the closest airport, located eight miles north of the city. There are many daily non-stop flights to and from Charlotte in North Carolina, Philadelphia, New York/LaGuardia, Washington/Dulles, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Atlanta.
