Visualizing Issues in Pharmacy (VIP) Project

The Visualizing Issues in Pharmacy (VIP) project is produced, directed and funded by The Omnium Research Group at the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, and written in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Auckland.

The project will bring together over 50 pharmacy students and 50 design students, with project convenors, teachers and special guests worldwide, to work collaboratively within a fully online learning environment. Detailed research reports and visual campaigns will be produced that can actively contribute to increased public awareness of a range of health-related concerns, in specified locations in Kenya.

The project ultimately aims to increase public awareness of six health-related concerns identified as debilitating public health in many developing nations: adherence, malaria, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, chronic disease, and immunization.

The VIP project will be carried out over 12 weeks, commencing 2nd April 2007 and concluding in June 2007. Weeks 1-7 involves the pharmacy research, whilst weeks 6-12 will form the graphic design period.
Recruitment has commenced and responses to date have been very positive.
