Publications and papers
A position paper on Clinical Education and Practice Placements in Allied Health has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Allied Health. Drawing on the expertise and experiences of the U21 network, the paper includes a position statement on the current and future context for clinical / practice education, associated issues, and potential strategies; current examples of innovative and creative clinical practice education and solutions / responses; and an outline of a vision for the future.
Following the 2007 meeting in Hong Kong, it is proposed to convene a series of teleconferences leading up to the 2008 annual meeting in Virginia, to prepare for a wide-ranging discussion on curriculum issues with the aim of developing a professional issues paper titled 'Challenging the current paradigms of practice education'.

Telehealth
In Hong Kong, members' agreed to working towards involvement in the U21 / Swinfen Charitable Trust initiative providing telehealth to underserved communities, including student placement and the development of an allied health consultant database.
